BUDDHA FOUNDRY
A handicraft factory where you can admire the different techniques used to produce representations of Buddha.
Close to the Folk Museum, this handicraft factory lets you see how the image of Buddha is reproduced. From huge plaster statues to small hard plastic figurines, the work and techniques vary according to the order. You can squeeze in between the craftsmen without getting in their way, and admire their skill. Admission is free, but it's a good idea to buy a small souvenir to help keep this craft tradition alive. Beware, however, as the purchase of a Buddha representation is becoming increasingly regulated.
