JEATH WAR MUSEUM
A modest establishment in Kanchanaburi, founded by a Thai monk to pay tribute to prisoners of war.
the "Japanese English Australian & American Thai War Museum", this modest establishment was created by a Thai monk in memory of the prisoners of war who worked on the Japanese construction of the Siam-Burma railroad during the last world war. On display are various period tools and weapons, maps, a few paintings (naive but realistic in style) and, above all, interesting photos dating from the construction of the famous River Kwai bridge. An authentic exhibition, moving in its simplicity.
