A hilltop temple with a beautiful view of the Moei River, its chedi is similar to that of the Kyaiktiyo pagoda
Perched at the top of a small hill, you'll have to climb some steep steps to reach it. The wat is sometimes inaccessible when diplomatic relations with Myanmar become "tense", i.e. periodically... Nice view over the Moei River. The special feature of this temple is its chedi , similar in style to that of the Kyaiktiyo pagoda in Myanmar. Built on a cliff-side rock, it seems to defy the laws of gravity.
