It is an honorary consulate with limited means of action, the consul is Mr Thomas Baude. Don't expect miracles: Thai law prevails (all the same) in Thailand, and a consul does not have the role of a lawyer. To avoid administrative problems, "the best security is to anticipate danger" and it is recommended that expatriates register with the consulate for all purposes (e.g. evacuation in the event of a serious political crisis).
