WAT SRI SUPHAN SILVER TEMPLE
A silver temple, distinguished by its silver statues of Buddha and Ganesh and its sumptuous interior.
Wat Sri Suphan dates back to the 16th century, but was completely covered with silver in the early 21st century. Now known as the Silver Temple, it is well worth a visit. The interior is absolutely sumptuous, with a play of mirrors amplifying the lights and the bright colors of the statues. Around the shrine are several silver statues, including Buddha and Ganesh. At the entrance of the complex, one can admire the monks working the precious metal.
