WAT PHA LAT
A temple nestled in the forest along a stream, accessible by foot or by road.
This temple nestled in the forest is one of the city's best-kept secrets. It can be reached via the road leading to Doi Suthep, or via a short nature trail called "Monk's trail". This is an easy hike (about 30 minutes), and you'll be surprised by the beauty of the site on arrival: a staircase of nagas on rocks leading directly to a small waterfall, several ancient structures including a magnificent chedi, impressive sculptures, and above all a mystical atmosphere barely disturbed by birdsong.
