Burmese-style "twin temples", built in 1827 and 1860, on the shores of Lake Chong Kham in Mae Hong Son.
Located on the shores of Lake Chong Kham, these two Burmese-style temples are Mae Hong Son's "twin temples". Wat Chong Kham was built in 1827, Wat Chong Klang in 1860. Impressive inside and out, Wat Chong Klang houses a statue of Buddha repatriated from Myanmar in 1857, a collection of wooden statues and reliefs, and 200 painted glass plates depicting the milestones in Buddha's life.
