BAAN SAO NAK
A superb traditional house in Lanna and Burmese style, featuring a collection of antiques, period photos...
A large, beautiful house built in 1895 by a wealthy Burmese merchant. Now open to the public, you can admire both Lanna and Burmese styles in the architecture of this superb traditional house, all in precious wood. The overall structure, supported by 116 teak stilts, and the roof are of Lanna architecture, while the balconies bear witness to the Burmese influence. The collection on display includes numerous antiques, old family photos, furniture, bronzes and ceramics. An interesting visit.
