WAT PHRA THAT CHAE HAENG
Temple founded in 1355, overlooking the valley and offering beautiful views, with a large containing Buddha relics.
As the temple is situated a little outside the town, you have to cross the bridge over the Nan River to reach it. It overlooks the valley, and the view from up here is splendid. This beautiful temple was founded in 1355. Its architecture is a blend of several periods, including features of the Lanna style, with precious woodwork, carved dragons on the doors, a reclining Buddha and huge 4-metre Nagas along the balustrades in the courtyard. Its immense golden chedi contains Buddha relics.
