One of Nan's most important ancient temples, with numerous frescoes and statues, a chedi supported by 24 elephant statues

It is one of the oldest and most important temples in the city. Often simply called Wat Chang, it was built in the early 15th century. It is a vast enclosure whose main building houses a great Buddha of the Lanna period. Built in the 14th century, its monumental architecture integrates different styles: Lanna, Thai Lû ... We will see many frescoes and statues of great beauty. Its chedi dates from 1406 and is supported by 24 statues of elephants.
