From Bangkok, 24-seat «VIP» buses depart from Bangkok station (Moh Chit) in the evening around 20 h or in the morning at 7 p. m.; 11 hours, or 801 km. Air-conditioned bus Grade 1: departures at 7 am, 16 pm and 19 pm (13 hours drive).

From Chiang Mai, from «Arcade Bus Terminal», air buses provide 9 departures, between 7 h and 17 h; take about 4 hours of journey. In the opposite direction, 7 VIP bus departures between 9 h and 17 h 30 (3 hours drive). 1 st Class Bus (air conditioning): 9 departures between 8 h 25 and 19 h (3 hours). Grade 2 Bus (AC): 1 departure at am (3 pm). Regular bus (broken down): 6 departures between and (approximately 3 hours).

To get to Mae Sai: These are the most frequent routes (almost every quarter of an hour!), between 6 h and 18 h. Take 1 hour of transport, by regular bus. VIP Bus: departure at 11 pm and 17 pm (1 hour drive). Air-conditioned bus Grade 1: departure at p. m., p. m. and p. m. (1 hour).

To get to Chiang Khong: buses leave all hours of the bus station between and. Count 2 to 3 hours, depending on whether the journey passes through Thoeng or not, and the number of stops on the way!

To go to Chiang Saen (near Sob Ruak): direct daily connection between 6 am and 18 pm. Departures every 15 min. About 1 hour drive. The latest buses leave Chiang Saen around 17 pm.

To travel to Chi Chi Fa. November to February: direct connection, with daily bus at 12 h 30 (approx. Two minibuses (van) leave at and (2 hours drive). In the low season: Daily buses for Thoeng, with departures every 30 min, between 5 h 45 and 18 h (approximately 2 hours).

From Thoeng to Chi Fa Phu: 2 hours of journey. Departure in the morning only!
