WAT RONG KHUN - WHITE TEMPLE
Temple designed by Thai artist Chaloemchai Khositphiphat, renowned for his murals depicting the life of Buddha.
This white temple is a sumptuous contemporary architectural work by Thai artist Chaloemchai Khositphiphat. Started in 1997, it is encrusted with thousands of pieces of mirror. The temple sparkles in the sun and gives an immaculate appearance. It withstood the earthquake of 2014! Inside a mural representing the life of Buddha, where heterogeneous characters like Spiderman, Kung Fu Panda or Darth Vader are mixed.

Par contre, il y a énormément de monde, et les vigiles ne sont pas forcément sympathiques ...
La galerie marchande à l'extérieur du temple est très sympa, on y mange bien et on trouve des souvenirs à bon prix.
Un peu kitch et finalement peu respectueux des traditions mais à voir comme curiosité locale
