Held by a Franco-Thai couple, Paulo and Nid, 5 bungalows with rustic charm but very comfortable in the middle of a charming garden. Their sense of service is equal only to the sumptuousness of the region in which they decided to settle. They will make you enjoy through a fully orchestrated full-board tour.

If you want to discover the northern Thailand, I widely recommend "Old Tree's House with Thaton where Paulo and his wife Nest will welcome you in a heavenly place. The setting is brilliant, Paulo and Nid is your treatments, Nest is a chef except pair, the bungalows are a rare cleanliness and everything is made to make the enjoyable stay. The concept is brilliant because Nest and Paulo arrange school for children village of refugees Lahus and silver stays is partly intended to help these children.
We stayed 12 days Nest and Paulo, from January 9th to January 22nd. We chose the discovery formula and we do not regret it. On arrival at the airport Chiang Rai, Paulo expected us for an hour's drive until Thaton. From the first minutes, it to us at ease by tell us, during the journey, life of adventurer and some explanations on Thailand.
In Thaton, arriving at "Old Tree's House", as soon as we saw the site, the only sounds who leave our mouth, arriving in this paradise, it is "wouaaouuu" as soon as we enter the bungalow, it is Re "wouaaooouuu" and everything without counting the friendliness and hospitality of the family.
Then, during the 12 days, Paulo took us under his wing exclusively to discover all this beautiful region. The villages of the mountains of the Burmese border, Chiang Rai with Chiang Mai via the high mountains and Mai Salong, Burmese border Mai Sai via the Mekong and the Golden Triangle, it offers us visit of tourist trails, temples and waterfalls lost in the mountains, the markets and the popular restaurants, in short, another vision of Thailand, the real.
Our stay past as a slapping of fingers, but the images still invade us head. Images like the smile of Nest and Paulo and especially of happiness that they transmitted to us.
We will return, but this time, our children ......

The only downside, when down the river from thaton to chiang rai you arrive quite far from the city and there are no taxis… contrary to what Paulo had told us but we are not disrupt with him!
