A museum with a historical exhibition recounting the wars between the East Indies and the Chinese emperor.
The historical account goes back to the actions of the English East India Company that unleashed the Opium Wars against the Emperor of China. Explanations given in three languages: Thai, Chinese and English. However, explanatory leaflets in French (summary) are given to people who request them at reception. It is a museum created on the initiative of the Queen Mother of Thailand to explain the origins and catastrophic misdeeds (in China, in particular) of the opium traffic in Asia. An educational purpose, then.

Musée fourmillant d'explications (en anglais) vidéo pour débuter la visite puis une succession de salle qui détaillent l'histoire de l'opium dans la région depuis le 17e siècle a nos jours. Le commerce avec les puissances européennes, la culture ,les outils, et bien sûr les conséquences désastreuses de cette drogue. Si vous êtes intéressé et a a l'aise en anglais compter 3heures pour tout lire et regarder! La visite peut s'effectuer plus rapidement si l'on ne s'attarde pas sur chaque panneau
