PRASAT HIN MUEANG TAM
A temple dedicated to the worship of the Hindu pantheon god Shiva, distinguished by its 4 doors oriented according to the points of the compass.
Built at the end of the 10th century, this temple was dedicated to the worship of the Hindu pantheon god Shiva. Facing east, it was built at the foot of a hill and is just as spectacular as Wat Phanom Rung, 4 km away, but in a different style. The sanctuary's four doors are oriented according to the points of the compass. Three of them still have their original lintels. The main courtyard houses laterite prang (tower-like pavilions). The complex also includes pools and libraries.
