PRASAT SI KHORAPHUM
This 12th century Hindu Khmer Khmer temple, located about thirty kilometres from Surin, was built under the reign of Suryavarman II, who was also responsible for the construction of the Angkor site. It is composed of 5 prang (towers) built on the same base, each measuring 30 meters. The lintels of the doors and columns are decorated with decorations. The stone sculptures bearing the effigy of Hindu deities, Shiva, Brahma, Ganesha, Vishnu and Uma, recall the original function of the temple, which was later converted into a Buddhist monastery in the 16th century.
