A park much frequented by families, hosting "Les Chandelles", Ubon Ratchathani's biggest festival...
A park where, traditionally, families come to stroll and sometimes refresh themselves in the shade of the alleys, nibbling a khao phat at the various stalls set up there. In the middle stands an enormous imitation candle. This is the main site of the city's biggest festival, the Candlelight Festival. It's particularly busy in the early evening, with the night market right next door. It's also a meeting place for sports enthusiasts of all kinds, many of whom come here to let off steam in a group and in rhythm.
