WAT KHAO SUKIM
A temple set on a large hill, housing a superb collection of religious objects: jades, pottery, furniture...
Built in 1966, this is the most popular temple in the Chanthaburi region. Situated on an imposing hill, it can be reached by a free funicular service. Once at the top, there's a lovely view of the surrounding area. The temple houses a superb collection of religious objects: jades, pottery, furniture... There are also some twenty wax statues of bonzes, so well executed that they look like real mummified men! An enjoyable visit, if only to observe the devotion of the locals.
