This palace, built on a hill in Phetchaburi, is a historic complex comprising numerous buildings, temples and pagodas
This palace is built on a height which dominates the city in the west: Khao Wang. This historical complex, composed of several buildings, temples and pagodas, is distributed on 3 crests of the hill. It is in 1858 that King Rama IV made it build. The palace has various architectural styles: Thai, Chinese and Western. Wat Phra Kaew is recognizable by its red pagoda, visible from miles around. The panorama is worth the detour. Facetious monkeys occupy the site.
