It's probably the best ferry company in Thailand. Fast, safe, a little noisy because of the commercials broadcast during the crossing. Inside you will also find a small bar serving drinks and snacks. Tapee pier is another starting point for the islands (you can also leave from Surat Thani airport or train station with bus transfer). Departures for Koh Samui (Nathon pier, 1h45 drive), Koh Phangan (2h45), and Koh Tao (about 4h45 drive) are at 9h, 11h30 and 15h30.
