A Phra Yai Buddhist temple, built in the 1970s, housing a monumental seated Buddha statue...
The Phra Yai Buddhist Temple has become a landmark on the island since its construction in the early 1970s. At its foot are dwellings for the monks, as well as shops and restaurants for visitors. The monumental statue, which gave its name to the beach, is located on an islet accessible by a breakwater. It is impossible not to spot the statue of the Buddha, in a sitting position looking east, with its 12 meters height.

A small and very interesting tour to discover a super beautiful temple.
You can even approach and chat with a buddhist monk who will make you a blessing and will introduce you to some rites. To do: small stroll around the water pools sacred around large the status of Buddha " with multibras".
