Right next door to the Taiwan Folk Arts Museum, this restaurant, set on a mountainside in a Japanese-style garden, belongs to the same foundation as the museum. The garden and building were created by Japanese settlers in the 1920s as a resort. Mongolian fondue, the house specialty, is very popular with Taipei locals. Weather permitting, it's best to dine on the terrace, which offers a breathtaking view of Taipei. For the more classic diner, a buffet of Chinese and European cuisine is available.
