WILD BIRD SOCIETY OF TAIPEI
The Wild Bird Society of Taipei (WBST) is a non-governmental organization made up of people who share a common interest in wild birds and their habitats. WBST is dedicated to the appreciation, research and protection of wild birds and their habitats. It aims to raise public awareness of nature conservation and encourage cooperative efforts to protect the environment and ensure the survival and proliferation of wild birds. WBST currently manages three nature reserves in Taipei: Guandu Nature Park, Zhishan Ecological Cultural Garden (both commissioned by the City of Taipei) and Aogu Wetland Visitor Center (commissioned by the Forestry Bureau). WBST also organizes workshops, conferences, birdwatching tours, volunteer training, ecological camps and international festivals to promote environmental education.
