Proof that religion is eclectic in Taiwan, as you will find in this temple elements of the Taoist, Buddhist and Confucian cults. Perched on Monkey Mountain, this temple built in 1882 is one of the largest in Taipei. Dedicated to Lü Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals of Chinese mythology, legend has it that unmarried couples who visit him end up separating. In question, Lü Dongbin, who would seduce young women. There are a lot of steps to get there, but the view from above is really great!
