Much appreciated by Europeans for the simplicity of its architecture and its gardens adorned with bamboo, miniature bridges and bonsai trees, the Confucius Temple is a peaceful place all year round, except on September 28, Confucius' birthday, which is marked by a grand ceremony. The first temple dedicated to Confucius in Taipei was demolished by the Japanese in 1907. Given the importance of Confucius in Chinese culture, a new temple had to be built. The present building, a blend of elegance and serenity, was erected between 1925 and 1939.

Very interesting temple to learn more about Confucianism. The entrance is free and there is even a 3d projection that teaches you more.
