Opened in 2010 in a former village overlooking the Gongguan university district, Treasure Hill is home to the residences of dozens of contemporary artists, supported by the municipality. Residencies are obtained after submitting an application, and the lucky ones can work in peace in these small houses on the hillside. The village can be visited quickly, but it is also possible to tour the exhibition spaces and talk to the artists, most of whom are Taiwanese, but some are international too.
