A park within a park! Datun (or Tatun) Nature Park is located on Yangmingshan's second-highest mountain, Mount Datun. The park entrance is opposite the entrance to the Butterfly Corridor. As well as birds, shrubs, cicadas and butterflies, you'll also come across lizards and a few species of snake. You'll find the outline of the Yangmingshan ecosystem, but in miniature. Ideal for hiking (signposted), the park includes a path that allows you to climb to the top of Datunshan and observe the Taipei Basin.
