Beginning in the Erziping area, this trail passes through a forest heavily inhabited by birds during summer and winter migrations. Several paths then lead to the slopes of Mount Datun, and one of the park's important landmarks, the tomb of the Taiwanese writer Yu Youren, from where there is a magnificent view. The mascots are the Taiwanese blue magpie and Muller's beard, a small emerald green bird with a melodious voice.
