JINZE LUROU FAN

Perhaps one of the best Taiwanese canteens in the country and undoubtedly one of our favourites. Located in a small alley in the old town of Yilan, this restaurant doesn't look like much at first sight: a kitchen open to the street, a small terrace, and a dark back room. Yet people come from all over the island to taste their soups. According to the regulars of the place, it is one of the few establishments that make authentic grandmother's cooking, whose flavours differ from the recipes coming from mainland China. An excellent address.
