CONFUCIUS TEMPLE
Erected in 1726, it is one of the oldest temples in Taiwan and has been rebuilt eight times, the last renovation dating back to 1830. It is therefore one of the few religious sites in Taiwan that has not been altered in the 20th century. Dedicated to Confucius, it features classical architectural elements from the Qing dynasty, with several buildings on the wings that once housed the Changua school. It is located halfway between the railway station and Baguashan, offering a peaceful atmosphere and a pleasant view of the surrounding area.
