The Confucius Temple in Tainan, built in 1665, is one of the oldest temples in the country. This historic site dedicated to Confucius, the great Chinese philosopher, is a remarkable example of classical Taiwanese architecture. Surrounded by tranquil gardens with bonsai and lotus trees, it features pavilions adorned with wooden carvings and calligraphic inscriptions. The temple is a place of reflection and respect for Confucian values, and is also popular for its cultural festivals and traditional ceremonies.
