This temple is dedicated to the concubines of Zhu Shugui, a Chinese prince related to the last Ming emperor. When Koxinga's grandson surrendered in 1684, having heard of the treachery and the imminence of the Manchu invasion, he decided to commit suicide in order to avoid the dishonour of defeat. His five concubines out of loyalty end their days soon after. To celebrate the fidelity of these women, a small temple was built in which their graves are found.
