Fort Provincia or Fort Provintia is a historic monument in Tainan. Erected by the Dutch in 1653 as Fort Zeelandia, it was a strategic stronghold during the colonial era. After the Ming conquest, it was renamed Fort Provincia. The site, with its well-preserved red-brick walls and historic cannons, offers a fascinating insight into Taiwan's military and colonial history. Today, the fort is an important cultural site, ideal for discovering the region's architectural and historical heritage.
