Built in 1696, this magnificent pavilion is one of Penghu's main historical attractions. Located on the west coast of Magong, this temple can be visited just past the Mazu shrine, which is a five-minute walk away. It is one of the oldest religious centres in Taiwan, and has had to be rebuilt many times over the ages, especially after its destruction by French naval forces in 1885. The last renovation, which dates back to 2007, was able to preserve the beauty of the roofs and its unique blue ceramics.
