HUAKUANG TATI TEMPLE
Located in the village of Fuao in Nangan, legend has it that, during the Ming dynasty, a villager dreamt that the fire god had come to show him the location of an incense burner. The next morning, he followed the instructions and found the object in the indicated location, where the Huakuang Tati temple dedicated to the fire god was subsequently built. This is a Taoist place of worship, which is particularly rare in Taiwan. The proximity of the coastline may explain this specificity, adding a unique touch to the local religious wealth.
