PASHA'S MOSQUE
Built from 1792 by the bey Mohamed Ben Othman, known as "the one-eyed" or El-Kebir, with the money received at the time of the repurchase of the Spanish prisoners, it was dedicated to the dey of Algiers. Its foundations would equal the height of its octagonal minaret. See with the guard if it is possible to go up to the top of the minaret, or at least on the terrace, from where the view is clear on the surrounding lanes and on the Murdjadjo. The mosque can be visited freely outside of prayer hours. Proper attire is required.
