Built in 1793, its uncluttered architecture is reminiscent of the mosques of Tlemcen and the Andalusian style, with a square-based minaret decorated with brickwork.
On the site of the Mosquée de la Perle are the old Turkish baths, built in 1708 by Bey Bouchlaghem. On the same site, the French built a military hospital from the early years of the occupation until 1843. Today, this is known as "Oran's old hospital".
