The Hasni Chakroun open-air theater is located on the seafront between Fort Rosalcazar and the Lycée Pasteur. It's the place to be for open-air performances: summer evenings, concerts, festivals... This is where young Raï talent performs on weekends. Ask at the tourist office for events and the agenda. Access is via a pretty garden formerly known as Petit Vichy. This garden is planted with ficus, palm and terebinth trees on the embankments that were brought in to fill the Aïn Rouina ravine.
