This popular market stretches along the long Rue des Aures, selling fruit, vegetables, spices and lots of organic produce. It's very popular because it's so inexpensive and pleasant to stroll around, but beware of pickpockets. Among Oran's other markets, don't miss the Michelet market. It's a covered fruit and vegetable market not far from the seafront. A real treat for the eyes and the taste buds. An institution with beautiful 1930s architecture. Not a bad place to shop with the locals!
