MOSQUE OF SIDI SENOUCI
The small mosque, whose prayer room is unusually located on the second floor, was embellished by the pretty minaret added to the simple architectural building in the 14th century by Abou Abbès Ahmed, the designer of the Mechouar walls. Sidi Senouci, from his name Sheikh Mohamed Ben Youssef Benameur Ben Chouayb Essenouci, a native of Beni Snous, was an example of piety in the 15th century. A mystic with a penchant for unitary theology, he wrote many scientific works. Opposite the mosque, you can visit the hammam Essebaghine dating from the Almoravids.
