BAB EL-KERMADINE (DOOR OF THE TUILIERS)
This enclosure in Tlemcen bears witness to the attempted murder of Yaghmoracen by the head of his Christian guard.
Consisting of a wall pierced by a turret and punctuated by towers, the "door of the tile makers" was part, in the north-west, of the enclosure of the Taggrart of Youssef Ibn Tafchine which has practically disappeared. It owes its name to the fragments of pottery found in the toub used for its construction. The historical annals mention it for having been the theater of an attempt of murder against Yaghmoracen by the chief of his Christian guard. Nice visit!
