The Hotel Royal is Mostaganem's oldest hotel, located not far from the old town and the university. It's also just a few minutes' walk from the port. From here, it's a pleasure to walk along the sea. Although the rooms offer simple comforts, they are sufficient for an overnight stay. They may lack a little hygiene, as does the service, which can sometimes be a little austere and cold. Remember to book in advance, as the establishment is often fully booked in summer. It also has a good restaurant serving local specialties.
