Discovered by chance in 1962, the magical grotto at Aokas is thought to have been formed between 65 and 135 million years ago. It comprises a sixty-metre-long natural corridor leading to an impressive cavity, whose largest column, the junction between a stalagmite and a stalactite, rises to a height of eight metres.
