Built near the souk el-Asser in the 18th century by Salah ben Mostafa (1771-1792), the illustrious bey of Constantine, the Sidi el-Kettani mosque was the residence of the French governor until 1962. Its interior has an original Italian minbar and a carved mihrab. You will not fail to observe its domes and ceilings with fine decoration as well as the vivid ceramic tiles that decorate the walls of the mosque. It houses the tombs of Salah Bey and his family.
