FALL BRIDGE
This Chutes bridge in Constantine, which gives access to factories, was inspired by the natural arch sculpted over the Rhumel River.
This is the last bridge to cross the wadi, where the Rhumel leaves the gorges to slide down to the Hamma plain after a series of dizzying falls. Inspired by the natural arch carved above the Rhumel, the bridge was launched between the two banks in 1925 to provide access to the factories on the other side. At this point, the wadi winds its way along a 200 m-deep crevasse, which can be explored on foot, and the bridge marks the start of the Chemin des Touristes. A little further on, the road passes close to the thermal baths.
