Built from 2010 by Brazilian architect Andrade Gutierrez and inaugurated in 2014, it is a highly impressive design. It is a cable-stayed bridge whose two main pillars rise to a height of 120 m. With a length of 756 m for the main viaduct and 1,119 m in total, it links the city center (quartier des Combattants, Bellevue and cité Kouhil Lakhdar) and the new town, and crosses the Rhummel gorge. It is Constantine's eighth bridge. Its name is a tribute to Salah Bey, who was the city's bey between 1771 and 1792.
