THE RHUMAL
The gorges at Constantine allow you to experience the depths and feel physically sucked into the void.
Guy de Maupassant compared the Rhumel Gorge to "a red abyss as if burned by eternal flames" and Alexandre Dumas to a snake, but the name given to the boulevard that opens it, l'Abîme, is perhaps the best comparison. From a number of vantage points and from the top of bridges, especially suspension bridges, you can experience the depths of the Abyss and feel physically sucked into it. To get the most out of it, start at the south end and the Sidi-Rached Bridge, then work your way up to the Sidi-M'Cid Bridge.
