THE ENVAL GORGES
A signposted trail with an orientation table visited by great figures of Romanticism and appreciated by walkers.
Visited by great Romantic figures such as George Sand and Maupassant, these gorges are now a popular destination for walkers, trail runners and mountain bikers. They are easily accessible via marked trails. An orientation table helps you interpret the superb panorama. Walk along the Ambène river to the waterfalls, including the one known as "du bout du monde" (the end of the world), a real haven of coolness in the hot season. On weekends, this natural site is illuminated. Land-art works are sometimes on display.
