This mosque, also known as the Mosque of the Palm Trees, was built in 1120 by Sidi Thameur. It is the oldest in Bou-Saâda and one of the oldest in Algeria. It has retained all its charm of yesteryear: pure Islamic architecture, stone entrances and corridors, juniper wood ceilings and columns... It has also been classified as a national heritage site by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Definitely worth a visit, it's one of Bou-Saâda's must-see sites. From its terrace, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the town and the palm grove.
