Built between 1901 and 1907, this massive 12-metre high monument, which represents a statue of King Alexander II on horseback, is the work of the Florentine sculptor Arnoldo Zocchi. It stands in front of the Bulgarian Parliament. The presence of this statue is again a tribute to Russia and its King, who came to the aid of Bulgaria against the Turks. You will probably pass by it without realizing it especially. But just stop there for a few minutes.
